My passion is for art, the arts and crafts movement and country house interiors. I source items that are made from good quality materials, well made, attractive and will last many generations and occasionally with assistance from professional restorers help items return to the state they were when first made. My father and Grandfather were antique dealers and after leaving the RN in 1984 I had four years in the 1980's as a full time antique dealer then spent decades working for others gazing out of windows with the hope of returning to the antique business and finally started Graham Deakin Antiques at the end of 2024.

Painted Furniture

This is an antique continental three-drawer chest, dating from the 19th century. The chest is painted with rural scenes on each drawer and the front of each side panel with turned legs and gilt decoration on the top and bottom of each leg. It is in good condition with age related wear and has a replacement top, it originaaly would have had a marble top .
