Item Details
Rare white metal Elkington ship's clock that is probably the only one ever made to this design, it keeps good time and is an eight day clock. There are four stamps to the right but are ineligible. The clock would have been screwed to a wooden bulkhead with two large ornate screws located above and below the clock face but the clock is now mounted on a wooden plinth with a hinged support. A label that came with the clock states that it was removed from Hove town hall in sussex and because of it's location I like to think it may have been in the Brighton Pavillion with the other regency objects adorned with dolphins. It is in original condition with age related wear and two hairline cracks approximately 2cm at the hole where the bottom screw is.
